An extremely helpful book.
Best book on the topic by far.

If you need to be humbled....read this bookI have only a few books that I will make my children read (when they come of age)....this is one of them.
Men of SacrificeBalance, honesty and contextual historicism are characteristic of Perry's work.
Most reading it will concur with this reviewer that Perry has found a niche in reminding us of those persons of sacrifice who are such a rare type of leader in this 21st century.
Take time to read this book and discover Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver whose lives transcended racial prejudice, reviling, misunderstanding and jealousy.

Triumph of the Will
Kapitulieren? Nein! This book also discusses the significant differences in attitude toward the Allied invasion in different districts of Germany. The fate of ethnic Germans living in Alsace, Malmedy, Poland, and the Sudetenland receives a considerable amount of attention.
The book can become rather depressing at times, because of the utter hopelessness of the war at this point, and the attrocities commited against German civilians and POWs by the Allies. However, it remains a very compelling tale none the less. I highly recommend the book.

Cool!

Essential coda

An excellent book for educators or new African Lit. readers.

Aikido through the eyes of its American exponents.I have been living and training in Japan for the past six years and am always very interested to hear the opinions and stories from the multitude of instructors here. Although I am very happy to be here in Japan training under an amazing Sensei, after reading the interviews in this book, I no longer feel that to find 'true' Aikido you must travel to Japan. I have come to realize that the Aikido being practiced in America is vibrant, alive, and growing quickly.
This book is a collection of interviews with some of the more widely known Aikidoists in America and I recommend it without reserve, to anyone interested in North American Aikido.
I would also like to encourage the editors to publish a collection of conversations with the Japanese Aikidoists. I'm sure that it would be as beneficial as this book.

A threat to the new Republic reunites the Matadors.

Times Picayune"Algiers Point is at its best when Perry shares insider dirt on how policing works. It's a bit like watching an episode of "COPS", narrated by a cop who no longer cares what his boss thinks." - Richard Sine is a reporter in the West Bank bureau.

A good resource book for Episcopal altar guild trainees
